Review: When I recently replaced a set of old, chipped mixing bowls, I wanted to go with American-made, durable, solid glass. I chose an inexpensive 3-piece Pyrex set but ended up very frustrated with those sloped sides and all of the associated splattering I got whenever I used my hand-held electric mixer. Christmas baking was the last straw. I ordered this Anchor Hocking set for 2 reasons - 1) It's made in the U.S.A., and 2) the sides are much steeper than in the Pyrex sets. I am thrilled with my purchase and am using these bowls for everything now. The Pyrex set is headed for the second-hand store!
