Review Summary: Not heat safe, mine cracked!
Review: I love all the Sango brown nova dishes I've been adding to my set, these ramekins looked perfect so I bought two sets of 4. Almost four weeks later when I used them for the first time (tonight), I made flan. That requires a carmel glaze. When I made the glaze in a sauce pan (very hot sugar/water mixture) and then poured it into the ramekins, after I poured the 6th ramekin I started hearing them all crack!! LOUD cracks! So, 6 out of 8 cracked when making a simple flan custard dish in them! Amazon is replacing them of course, but what if I hadn't used them in the first 30 days? If this had happened just two days later, I would have been out of the 30 day amazon warranty!

Review: My wife wanted some of these because the silicone cups she had were not working for creme brulee. I bought them and could not be more pleased. They are very nice looking and are just the right size for a serving. There were also a few color choices to choose from and that was nice since not everyone has the same color tastes. Also, the price was right.

Review: These ramekins are pretty sturdy, and very well made, they are also reasonably attractive. However, I compared them to the le creuset stuff at Wholefoods, and you can really see the difference in quality. I guess you get what you pay for. I have found them pretty useful. They also have a cheap printing on the underside, thats says "microwaveable, oven safe... etc. made in china" that makes it look cheaper.
One small nit, they are slightly smaller than those frozen soups that you get at costco, so I had to shave the soups down before I popped them in the oven :(
