Customer Reviews of Lekue Silicone Deep Fluted Pan, Blue
Customer Rating:

Review Summary: love this!!
Review: I bought this pan to make a kugelhopf for the Tuesday with Dorie blog group where kugelhopf was the recipe for the week. The recipe came from "Baking: From My Home To Yours" by Dorie Greenspan.
This pan worked great. The cake released without any effort when I turned it over. It is super easy to clean. This was my first experience with a silicone pan, and it won't be my last.
Customer Rating:

Review Summary: $14.99 for foldable kugelhopf mold
Review: I prefer to have the traditional shape in silicone for easier storage because the mold is required for a proper kugelhopf and I don't plan to make kugelhopf on a regular basis. I found a recipe by Dorie Greenspan on the internet and followed most of the instructions. The kugelhopf tasted nice the next day - nice enough for me to have several slices for breakfast. I would use neither cherries nor raisins but pineapples next time and treat it with a sugar glaze and maybe almonds. The only problem I had was the release from the inner ring. It was not heated enough to toast the dough away from it and should have been buttered.
