Kaiser Bakewares Tinplate Loaf Pan is made the "Kaiser Way,"and features the high-quality tinned steel preferred by traditional bakersfor its performance.The smooth tinned surface and "waffle" design on the bottomcreates a stick-resistant surface.The combination of the steel gauge and the silver color allowthe pan to absorb the proper amount of heat to produce a perfectlybrown crumb and a moist, tender inside.Features: Folded with Square Corners Tin-plated steel provides even and gentle heat distribution. The textured "waffle" base holds butter well to create a nonstick surface. Use and Care All Kaiser Bakeware pans are safe up to 450 degrees F in the oven. Handwash Tinplate bakeware with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth. Dry throughly. Prepare the pan for baking by brushing with butter or oil and dusting with a light coating of flour.

Review: I got this pan with the intention of making sandwich bread. The metal seems higher quality than anything available at Walmart. The surface has a unique texture to it that takes a lite coating of butter very well. I've made several loafs so far in my pan, and they've all came out really nice. The only thing I don't like about this pan is the tapper. The top width is about 4.25" and the bottom is about 3.25". Which makes a great looking loaf, but the slices won't fit a square slice of ham and cheese very well.

Review: I bought 4 of these pans for $2 each with a promotion. I figured for that they'd be a little better than a disposable pan. One came damaged in shipping, but I didn't bother with a return since it was still useable. Other than that, I have not had any problems. I've baked yeast breads and quick breads in them and have not had any burning problems or problems with sticking. I'm happy with my purchase.
