Review Summary: Buyer Beware!
Review: You can waste an awful lot of ingredients trying to make this thing work. What they don't tell you is that the spreader system only works with their recipes and THEY HAVE NO RECIPES FOR ORDINARY CREPES. Just buckwheat, so it that's what you want to make, go for it. Since I had regular crepes in mind, I filled up the garbage can rather quickly with failure after failure. The best of my efforts only made 3/4 of a circle, and it's not possible to make a second pass.
By the way, I'm a fairly accomplished cook, not a newbie at crepe-making at all. I thought this thing would make it easier. Live and learn.
You can still use it as a griddle, of course--but it's sure overpriced for an electric griddle.

Review: The best crepe maker at a fantastic price! - The only suggstion I have for other customers is, contrary to the instructions recommending setting '5', I have found '4' to be the best to work with as it'll give you more time to spread the crepe mix into a perfect circle.

Review: I have used this product twice and I am very impressed with the uniform cooking of this Crepe maker. The large 13" nonstick surface makes perfect crepes everytime... no more throwing out the first crepe! The plactic spreading device makes it easy to evenly spread the batter for beginners. The crepe maker is much more substantial than the picture shows, in my opinion. I found the suggested thermostat settings a little too hot causing the crepes to brown too quickly but, after lowering the temperature, I was knocking out multiple banana/Nutella crepes in a matter of minutes. The results are much more like the crepes I got in Paris than ones I've made in a crepe pan.
