Ingredients for Feather Squares Recipe

1 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 c Milk
4 tb Melted shortening
2 tb Brown sugar
1/2 ts Cinnamon

Feather Squares Preparation

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt and sugar. Stir in beaten egg, milk and melted shortening.Mix only enough to blend. Pour into a well greased 8×8 pan and sprinkle on the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake in a hot oven 400 F 20 min. Cut in squares.
