Ingredients for Fried Okra 2 Recipe
1 lb Fresh okra
3 tb All-purpose flour
2 Egg whites
1-1/2 c Soft breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil
1/4 ts Salt
Fried Okra 2 Preparation
Trim okra, and cut into 1/2-inch slices. Toss with flour. Beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form; fold in okra. tir in breadcrumbs, coating okra well. Pour oil to a depth of 2 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375 . Fry okra until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt. Makes 4 servings.
