Ingredients for Gordo (Mexican Rice) Recipe

1 c Uncooked rice
1 c Sour cream
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1/2 c Parmesan cheese
1-1/2 c Cheddar cheese; grated
1/2 c Green onions; chopped
1 c (8 oz.) green chilies
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper

Gordo (Mexican Rice) Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cook rice. Blend in sour cream, chilies, onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Butter casserole (or use Pam). Layer half rice mixture into casserole and half cheese. Repeat layering rice, then cheese.
