Ingredients for Marshmallow Bars Recipe

1/3 c Butter
1/2 lb Marshmallows (about 32)
5 c Kix or Cheerios

Marshmallow Bars Preparation

Melt butter and marshmallows over hot water. Stir occasionally. Pour syrup over cereal in large greased bowl; stir gently to coat well. Pack into greased 9-inch square pan. Cool. Cut. Peanut Butter Marshmallow Bars: Make Marshmallow Bars except add 1/2 cup peanut butter to marshmallow. Kiddie Kones: Make Marshmallow Bars, except pack with greased hands into 12 greased custard cups, leaving centers hollow. Cool thoroughly. Remove from cups before filling with ice cream.
