Review Summary: The best cookbook if you shop TJ's
Review: I have a motto on cookbooks. Never buy one if you open it and find items you have never bought or have no idea what they are. Find a book that has the things you are familiar with and experiment for new tastes. Though this book has some things I have never thought of buying, everything is from TJ's and relatively inexpensive. I have had this book for 3 days and have made 5 different recipes. The recipes are very easy to follow. One of the deserts is three ingredients, bread, brownie mix and milk! I have looked through almost all of them and I can't find very many that would be more then $10 per meal. Many more are just adding a jar of this with a packages of that. This book is about combining simple products to create great results.
I will be buying this book for x-mas presents this year for my friends who shop TJ'S. If you don't shop TJ's or have a sense of trying something new save your money. The book won't make any sense. If you do shop TJ's and like to eat and cook this is a must.

Review Summary: I was expecting more from Trader Joe's
Review: Cooking with All Things Trader Joe's
I ordered two of these cookbooks for my daughters for Christmas gifts. I expected a great cookbook because my daughters and I shop at Trader Joe's and we all really like the store. When I received the cookbooks and looked through the recipes, I was VERY disappointed. The recipes were not "family friendly", in other words they used unusual ingredients and I know my daughters and their families would not like a big percentage of the recipes. So I sent them back. It's a shame that something that sounded so good was so bad.

Review Summary: My TJ's recipe (3 ingredients!)
Review: Here's my fave: 1 jar TJ's Bruschetta (12 oz); 1 can chopped or diced tomatoes or similar; l package frozen meatballs or frozen turkey meatballs. Place all ingredients in saucepan and heat to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. In the meantime, prepare 8 oz. pasta, any type. That's it.

Review Summary: Fabulous cookbook, a winner!
Review: My local Trader Joe's demo chef told me about this book and I'm so grateful she did. I LOVE it! Let me say that I have over 40 cookbooks on my shelf, and this is the cookbook I have been reaching for over and over these past few months. The recipes have been easy and quick as promised, but they are also wonderfully delicious and impressive. Most of the recipes seem to take around 10-20 minutes to make. A few here and there take minutes to throw together but then require a longer baking time (like the lasagna or casserole dishes). I love those, because it doesn't take much time to throw together and then I can do something else while it bakes.
Despite my small obsession with cookbooks, it wasn't until this cookbook that I felt inspired to cook more. My husband keeps asking me to make the Notcho Ordinary Gazpacho soup and the Chicken Tortilla soup. I've tried at least 10 or 12 recipes and they've all been excellent and have become part of my regular cooking repertoire. I haven't run into any problems with discontinued items but I saw that another reviewer found a list of substitution suggestions on the author website.
Take my word for it. If you shop at Trader Joe's or if you're looking for a way to cook better at home, get this cookbook.
