Review Summary: Just so-so
Review: First of all, this cookbook uses the metric system and certain terms that are unfamiliar to most American cooks. Therefore, you'll need to do the math and a bit of translating. Now, that would be fine if the recipes were GREAT. But sadly they are not. I don't believe that all of the recipes were tested, since some of the cook times are wrong. Also, only some are well written. Others are a bit hard to follow, especially if you are unfamiliar with the dishes. Additionally, most of the recipes are very basic, lacking wine, fresh herbs and other great ingredients that MAKE good Greek food. If you really want to cook like a Greek, try to find "Greek Cooking for the Gods" by Eva Zane. It's out of print and tough to find, but simply amazing!

Review Summary: A Great book for an introduction to Greek cooking
Review: This is an excellent introduction to Greek cooking. The recipes are easy, the pictures unbelievable and the presentation first class. Everyone that saw this book has fallen in love with it and asked me for a reference.

The cookbook includes some of the most typical Greek dishes such as mousaka, pastitichio, and baked lamp, as well as a variety of salads, appetizers (mezedes), and desserts
