Review Summary: No catch...
Review: This cookbook, like the restaurant, is life affirming, creative and full of wonderful flavours. It also feels healthy and ecologically sound as well so you might think theres a catch. No, not this time... all you gotta do is a bit of effort and you will be eating very well indeed.

Review Summary: Fabulous
Review: What a great book. The recipes produce food that tastes just like my mother makes. Great for convincing friends that sub-continent food is not just chicken tikka masala

Review Summary: Indian Party Food at its best
Review: I was lucky to go to the launch party for this book, when lots of the mouth watering recipies were served. This is definately not your average indian cookbook, unless you have been to Hansa's in Leeds, there will be lots of new goodies for you to try. Be adventurous, these recipies all work, Hansa has been cooking them for 20 years so they are bound to work. Buy this book if only for the Shrikand and Carrot Halwa recipies, the best Indian sweets I have ever tasted! There is only one glaring omission, the recipie for Chilli Paneer, oh well I guess I will have to keep going back to Hansa's in Leeds!

Review: Fantastic - I have found it an inspiration to help better my Gujarati cooking skills. Easy to follow and full of creativity - a definite recommendation for an alternative to the usual Chicken Jalfrazi!!

I particularly found the guide to Indian food stores in the UK useful and the descriptions of the various spices used was quite interesting.
A great buy !!
