Review Summary: Good Book
Review: This is a great book, with some lovely ideas. I particularly enjoyed making the desserts. Kids food is good, as is the bbq section. The only problem i found was that there was rather a lot of seafood, which i dont like. but that's a personal issue, not a fault of the book!! i do like good hearty meals though, so maybe healthy options wasnt the book for me, assome of the recipes obviously arent as hearty as i would have liked.
Good book though, am pleased that Gordon's creating recipes that are healthier, as usual his recipes have lots of ingredients and are very rich and unhealthy!!

Review Summary: A dreadful waste of money!
Review: Quite the worst book i have ever been given. Off to the charity shop with this one!

Review Summary: Very disappointing
Review: Not a great book.
Note the apostophe in the title - this is Gordon Ramsey branded, but he only wrote the intro. The recepies are by his trusty side-kick Sarge.
The recepies themselves are all pretty simple, basic stuff - not what you would hope (or expect) from Gordon Ramsey.
Save your money and spend it elsewhere!

Review Summary: A Cookery Book You Will Use
Review: I love cookery books but am also constantly told by my husband "why don't you cook from them?". Well this is one of those books that has recipes that are easy to follow and even though it is healthy it is also very tasty. I have cooked quite a few recipes from this book and they have all turned out beautifully.
As for the gentleman who mentioned his girlfriend was on Weightwatchers - I am also and have found some great new ideas to keep food interesting and tasty while reamining in the zone of "my body is a temple!"

Review Summary: Healthy doesn't always mean diet!
Review: GORDON RAMSAY'S HEALTHY APPETITE is a must have for those who want great tasting food without all the calories and fat. It seems some have been put off by the fact that this is not a diet book. No one ever said it was. Rather, it is a healthy approach to eating without blowing your entire way of living out of the water. What Ramsay wants to make clear (I believe) is that there are several factors involved in healthy eating: proportion, moderation, seasoning, and the right combination of foods, just to name a few.
Highlights for me include the "Four Cabbage Coleslaw," the "Penne Primavera," and the "Pot roast sirloin of beef." Other may warm to the "Glazed Gammon with pineapple Salsa," which I haven't tried yet but will soon.
While the recipes are the main thing, there's also chapters on the "bad" fats and getting the right balance of things on the plate. Overall a great cookbook, on the same par for me as DELIA'S HOW TO CHEAT and THE KITCHEN DIARIES. Anyway you slice it, Ramsay has it going on, hands down!
